Suggestions to getting fit..?

Howdy, i've being going to the gym for in the region of a year and i,ve noticed some change in fitness and muscle tone, on the other hand i feel i could be doing profoundly better..any suggestions or could you recommend a good book beside a fitness plan and proper eating customs, cheersSuggestions to getting fit..?
