Swimming vs. cardio machines?

Which is better.
-treadmill (or elliptical) or swimming?
-is 30 minites on a machine equivilent to 30 minutes swimming?
-how several calories are burned during the both of them?Swimming vs. cardio machines?
swimming with enthusiastic effort burns 809 calories an hour while moderate challenge while swimming burns 657. If you run 10 mph for one hour you burn 1,294 calories. If you run 5 mph for one hour you burn 647 calories. Majority of people claim swimming is more forceful than running. But hey we could all be wrong...of late do what you find more fun which i think is swimming. Good luck!
Swimming is by far the superior exercise..by far..but sorry i dont know the calorie break downs.
I consider 30 minutes of swimming is better because the force that is applied to your muscles while you are trying to stir against it makes you burn calories and if you work up a sweat, you won't distinguish it. The treadmill and machine are upright too but you get more tired well... when you swim, it's so much fun and you forget how long you have be in near that when you come out, you'll be shocked that you've been spending instrument more than 30 minutes in the river.
If you are trying to loose weight swimming is the worse exercise. See http://www.drmirkin.com/archive/7208.htm...
